A String of Aprons
Aprons tell stories. And Vashon Heritage Museum hopes to tell some of those stories in an exhibit, A String of Aprons, opening December 3, 2010 through February 20, 2011. Aprons of all kinds will be on display. Whether hand-made and store-bought, spanking new and well-worn, sewn as a home economics class project and bought at a Christmas bazaar, a hand-me-down from Grandmother’s kitchen and a shower gift to a bride, all the aprons in this exhibit are selections from Vashon Island homes.
